India Expected to Receive Normal Monsoon Rains Despite El Nino Threat

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that India is likely to experience a normal monsoon season in 2023, despite the potential emergence of the El Nino weather phenomenon. This would mark the fifth consecutive year of normal or above-normal summer rainfall, which is crucial for the country's economy and agriculture sector.
